I was just in Japan training with Grandmaster Hatsumi just 7 weeks before the massive earthquake and following tsunami
Having been in Japan so recently the news of the disaster has really hit me hard. I am concerned about my old friends there an the new ones I recently made on this latest trip.
I have been checking on the shihan (Hatsumi sensei’s most senior students) and they all seem to be doing well. The area of the devestation is mostly in the north. The teachers live mostly well south of the worst hit areas. There are still after shocks, the trains are still not running in certain areas.
The level of pain and anguish of the japanese people is impossible to comprehend. The difficulties of trying to get their lives back, much just to survive, must be deeply challenging at best, and horrifying at worst.
We have set up a Japan Disaster Relief program to try to help. We have working with a local printing company to reaise funds to send to thise who need help. We have designed a t-shirt and the company is donating their labor and printing supplies. You can buy this shirt and ALL proceeds above cost will go directly to organizations n the ground providing the much need help for those in Japan who need relief from the earthquake and tsunami.
We are selling these shirts for $20. You can help by buying a shirt (or you and your friends can buy a few) and ALL the profits will go to help the Japan Earthquake and tsunami victims.
You can help those suffering from the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster in Japan by purchasing a special edition t-shirt.
Again, all profits from the sale of these shirts go directly to organizations on the ground giving humanitarian aid in Japan.
