The Awesome Secrets of Ninja History

 
Ninja history and tradition is rich with myth and fact. There is ninja info that tells us a lot the Ninja history. The samurai ninja connection was their biggest threat and a strong driver for honing their skills.

There are scrolls that tell us how and where they lived . They were traditionally people of the land. They knew that nature was their partner, not some resource that was to be exploited. This was in great contrast to the ruling class and their samurai in those days and was a major force that shaped the life and lifestyle of the Ninja. They were a people who respected life, were compassionate and were protectors, not predators.

Ninja training is, at best, hard to validate. There was the story of ninja samurai which has its roots in truth.

We have documentation about how they trained. There really was a samurai ninja connection. And there was a real samurai ninja difference.

Maasaki Hatsumi, the 34th Grandmaster of Ninjutsu has the scrolls from all 9 ninja families. Each family had a “specialty”. Over time the family scrolls were passed down and are all in Hatsumi Sensei’s care and protection. He is the true keeper of ninja info. Real ninjutsu is taught using these principles and techniques.

The line between the two, fact and myth blurs and that is where the problem arises. This isn’t a problem for someone who just wants to “play”. It’s also not a problem for someone who is just teaching for the money and isn’t concerned about teaching real and authentic ninjutsu principles and ninja info (Note: I believe a teacher should get paid. In fact, I want my teacher to get paid very well so all he has to do is teach and learn!).

If you search Youtube ninja history and ninja info can be found. You will learn the samurai ninja connection.  The samurai had a major impact on ninja history. The samurai were the most imminent threat the ninja had since the emperor wanted full control of the people and the ninja just wanted to live alone in peace.

Here are some suggestions for getting your ninja info:

• Avoid the controversy of who is teaching legitimate ninjutsu. If someone loves the art they will not get caught up in the politics
  
• Get real ninja info and learning from a real ninjutsu teacher. Someone who has a lineage back to Hatsumi sensei and is teaching because they love the art, not just themselves

I am tired of all the politics about who is a real ninja teacher.

What I will I tell you is :

• “Youtube ninjustu” can actually slow your progress down (hint: don’t waste your time)
• Real ninjutsu teachers get frustrated by people “teaching ninjutsu”. While some of  teachers are gifted martial artists, they don’t have the skills to help other learn
